If using his work number:
"Hey, you've reached Zelkova! I'm probably busy right now, so leave a message and I'll get back to you ASAP!"

[Sure enough a few minutes later there is a Bird knocking on Josuke's door.]

But for the second one, she'd need a contact. One that had been with the other faction for a while.
So Josuke will get a text out of nowhere, as Eunie does.]
You busy? Wanted to swing by and take a look at your new place.

keep your window open. :)
[That was ominous, but she was taking the bird thing in stride at least. She's taken the month to get used to it even though when the moon shifted it became a royal pain. And well, she wanted to mess with Josuke a bit.
Plus it was a convenient excuse to not have her phone.
But after not too long there is a little white bird outside of Josuke's window, flapping its little wings on the sill.
And then a voice from it.]
Knock, knock, love.

That sure is the boyfriend calling, and upon accepting the call, Josuke will see two things. One, there is a very feisty Annihilape wandering around Ayato's apartment, and a very cozy Luxio sprawled across his lap.]
...I do believe you'd know better about these then I do. I woke up this morning to find the both of them here, in these. [THERE ARE TWO POKEBALLS, HELP, HOW DOES HE DO THIS.] Do you know either one?
no subject
Huh. It does take him a moment to answer, he's very amused by the sight, especially the Luxio.]
Luckily for you, I do, in fact, know both. [As he shifts to accommodate a curious Mimikyu.] The one that's currently claimed your lap is called a Luxio, and the one wandering the apartment is called an Annihilape. I can get you what you'll need to care for them and bring that stuff by?
[A pause.]
Might not be a bad idea to bring my own Pokemon over, too, to go ahead and get them all acquainted.

I'd appreciate it. While back home we knew how to host and feed both pets and supernatural guests, I can't confidently say I'd know what works best for them.
[SOS HELP HE'S UNSURE OF WHAT ELSE TO SAY ABOUT IT. Though he does give a look back down at the Luxio before exhaling.
(That Mimikyu looks a bit uh...... unsettling, but he's not going to comment on it)]
Do they do well with names? I'd assume so, but wasn't sure.

But New Year's? Well, Ayato can say it's the first time he's celebrated with someone new, and in a new place, no less. Josuke pitched the idea, and it's not one Ayato is opposed to in the slightest, so here he is. There's snacks, drinks, the Pokémon are playing together and seeming to get along, and the couch is an open spot for the two of them to sit and relax before the ball drops.
So, it's no surprise that Ayato is already leaning halfway on one of the pillows, his lips far too wry to be anything but amused.]
I don't think I remember the last time I watched this with someone. It's been quite some time.
:)
[Though, even then, he was usually in a voice call with friends, so this is... entirely new territory.]
I think this is the best New Year's I've had for a long time, honestly.
no subject
[He has to think, one arm gently reaching out and settling a hand on Josuke's cheek, affectionate.]
Back home, we'd spend most of the day preparing for any newcomers to arrive unexpectedly- my grandfather told me stories as a boy of how spirits would show up when celebrations were near, and our estate was a prime place for them to visit. [There's a laugh at this, light and actually indicating how he's enjoying himself.] We had onibi who liked to try and play tricks around the gardens, and I vaguely remember a kappa returning at least once every year. It was never a dull moment.

3/11 direct call
Hi it's your boyfriend actually calling something is VERY wrong if he's calling.
Josuke will hear Ayato speak and his voice shakes.]
Josuke. She showed up at the estate. At the estate.
[He sounds fucking rattled. HELP.]
no subject
[Oh. Oh, fuck he needs to get over there, now--
Inhale. Exhale.
He starts gathering his things, keeping his voice as steady as he speaks--]
... I'm on my way. Do you want me to stay on the line with you?
no subject
[Josuke cannot come here, Ayato is terrified that somehow, Teresa is keeping an eye over his entire home and will notice anyone who comes into the estate within the next few days.]
Josuke, you need to stay away. There's no telling whether or not she has the entire place in her view all the time. I can't risk your safety for that.
